Essentials is built for speed and flexibility. While users can already view individual components or small groups of metadata almost instantly, larger deployments require broader visibility. To address this, we're introducing metadata filters in this release—making it easier to view all changes across component types without switching between them. This gives users a comprehensive view of metadata differences between the source and target.
Using Filters
Filters make it easier to manage, locate, and compare full-org changes by grouping multiple metadata types together. To compare changes across multiple types, simply click on "Use Filter", like so.
Keep in mind that the more metadata types you include in a filter, the longer it may take to load the components. If speed is a priority and you know exactly which metadata types you need, consider using the direct metadata type selection method instead.
Filter Management
Copado Essentials includes pre-built filters to help users navigate various areas of Salesforce deployments. The default filter comes with the most commonly used metadata types. Users can easily create custom filters by cloning a standard filter and modifying the metadata types as needed. To do this, click "Manage Filters", then "Clone".
