Quick Deploy Now Supports Work-Item Version Control

In the past, work-item version control in Essentials was only supported for standard deployment actions. This meant that when customers wanted to use quick deploy—a commonly used Salesforce deployment method—they couldn’t track those changes in version control. Customers have consistently shared feedback that they wanted quick deploy to work seamlessly with work-item version control.

We’re pleased to announce that this feature is now available. Quick deploy actions are now fully supported with work-item version control. With this enhancement, Essentials users can:

  • Save time by using quick deploy to push validated changes to production in minutes.

  • Maintain governance by ensuring all deployed changes are still committed and tracked in version control.

  • Streamline workflows by combining the efficiency of quick deploy with the structure of the work-item pipeline.

How to use quick deploy with version control support

  1. Perform a validation against your production org as you normally would.

  2. Once validation is complete, click Quick Deploy to push the validated changes to production.

  3. Essentials will automatically commit the changes from the validated packages into your connected version control repository, ensuring all work-item history remains complete and accurate.
