Metadata custom views make it faster and easier for users to select and compare multiple component types between two organisations. Rather than switching and going through component types one by one, using custom views, users can bundle multiple component types into in a single selection.

Copado Essentials ships with a number of default custom views that users can use immediately. To use the default custom views, simply scroll to the bottom of the component type selection list.

Users can also create tailored custom views that target each user's specific usage pattern. To create user-defined custom views, select Application Setting > Metadata Custom Views > Add Custom View and add the metadata types that you wish to include.

User-defined custom views are then visible at the top of the component type selection list.
