Can Essentials automatically perform a unit test or functional test?

Can I automatically kick off a unit test, static code analysis or functional test prior to performing a deployment?

You cannot kick off functional tests, such as Selenium scripts, from Essentials, at this time. You do have to the ability to perform static code analysis (PMD) and unit tests before you validate or deploy your metadata. That being said, we plan to integrate Copado Robotic Testing into the Essentials UX in 2022 to provide a functional test automation option.
